The Nivin Pauly and Mamitha Baiju starrer Bethlehem Kudumba Unit has made a strong start at the worldwide box office. The Malayalam romantic comedy has crossed ₹37 crore globally in just two days, overtaking Balan: The Boy and Chatha Pacha: The Ring of Rowdies to become the 8th highest-grossing Malayalam film of 2026 so far.

Strong Growth on Day 2

After a solid opening, Bethlehem Kudumba Unit witnessed a significant jump on its second day. The film reportedly collected ₹7.15 crore net in India on Day 2, showing around 46% growth compared to its opening-day performance.

With this, the film’s two-day India net collection reached approximately ₹12.05 crore.

Beats Balan: The Boy to Enter the Top 10

With its ₹37.41 crore worldwide gross, Bethlehem Kudumba Unit has moved ahead of Balan: The Boy, which had recorded around ₹33.7 crore worldwide.

The film is now ranked 8th among the highest-grossing Malayalam films of 2026, behind titles including Drishyam 3, Vaazha 2, Aadu 3, Patriot and Athiradi.

Directed by Girish AD, Bethlehem Kudumba Unit brings together Nivin Pauly and Mamitha Baiju in a romantic comedy. The film’s strong opening, especially its overseas performance, has given it an impressive start during the Onam release period.

According to the reported estimates, the film was made on a budget of around ₹30 crore and has already recovered roughly 40% of that amount through its India net collections within two days.

With the opening weekend still underway, Bethlehem Kudumba Unit will now be looking to continue its momentum and climb further up the 2026 Malayalam box-office rankings.
