While there does not appear to be a large batch of newly announced Marathi films arriving between September 28 and October 4, 2026, a few recent digital releases are worth adding to the watchlist, including Bhootam Bhayyam and Date with Saie.
The biggest recent Marathi OTT arrival is Bhootam Bhayyam, the horror-comedy starring Chhaya Kadam, Karan Sonawane, Pushkaraj Chirputkar, Neel Salekar and others. The film began streaming exclusively on Marathi ZEE5 from September 25, 2026, making it one of the key Marathi titles available for viewers looking for something new this weekend.
Directed by Ramchandra Gaonkar, Bhootam Bhayyam revolves around seven unemployed friends who discover a mysterious ancient coin while staying at the abandoned Raniwada mansion. The friends believe the coin could help them become rich, but their excitement soon turns into fear when they discover that the object is connected to supernatural forces and an old curse.
The film mixes horror, comedy, mystery and adventure rather than following a completely serious horror format. Gondhal stars Kishor Kadam and Ishita Deshmukh and is set against the backdrop of rural Maharashtra and traditional Gondhal culture.
