Tu Hai Meri Kiran Trailer: Sonakshi Sinha and Zaheer Iqbal Bring a Dark Twist to Obsessive Love

Mumbai [India], October 6: The trailer of Tu Hai Meri Kiran has been released, introducing Sonakshi Sinha and Zaheer Iqbal in a dark psychological thriller centred around love, obsession and the dangerous side of one-sided affection. The film appears to draw inspiration from the iconic idea associated with Shah Rukh Khan’s Darr while taking the concept in a new direction.

Sonakshi Sinha plays Kiran, a confident and independent woman whose life takes an unsettling turn after Zaheer Iqbal’s character enters it. What initially appears to be affection gradually becomes something much darker as his character develops an intense fixation on her.

Zaheer Iqbal appears in a strikingly different role, portraying a man whose feelings slowly cross the line between love and obsession. The trailer presents his character as increasingly possessive, creating a sense of tension around Kiran and raising questions about how far he is willing to go.

The film’s title itself carries a connection to the famous dialogue and character association from Darr. However, Tu Hai Meri Kiran appears to use that familiar reference as a starting point rather than simply recreating the earlier story. The new film explores obsessive love through a contemporary psychological-thriller setting.

Sonakshi’s character is shown trying to understand the increasingly disturbing behaviour around her, while the trailer deliberately keeps several aspects of the story under wraps. This creates uncertainty about the actual nature of the relationship between the two characters and what may be waiting behind the apparent romance.

Zaheer’s transformation is one of the key highlights of the trailer. His character initially appears affectionate and interested in Kiran, but his behaviour gradually becomes more intense and unsettling. The shift gives the trailer a darker atmosphere and suggests that the film will explore the psychological consequences of unhealthy obsession.

The trailer also focuses heavily on suspense rather than revealing the central mystery. Several scenes hint that there could be more to Kiran’s situation than what is visible on the surface. This leaves the audience with questions about the real intentions of the characters and the eventual direction of the story.

Directed by Karan Rawal, Tu Hai Meri Kiran is produced by Vishal Rana and Echelon Productions. The film brings together Sonakshi Sinha and Zaheer Iqbal, who are also a real-life couple, for a story that takes them into a considerably darker cinematic space.

The film is scheduled to release in theatres on October 23, 2026. With its combination of psychological suspense, obsessive romance and mystery, Tu Hai Meri Kiran is positioning itself as a thriller aimed at audiences interested in darker relationship stories.

The trailer leaves the central mystery unanswered, particularly regarding what happens to Kiran and why Zaheer’s character becomes so deeply obsessed with her. The answers are expected to unfold when the film reaches cinemas later this month.
