Mumbai [India], September 16: Salman Khan joined his family for their Ganpati visarjan celebrations at brother Sohail Khan’s residence in Mumbai, taking part in the traditional aarti before the idol immersion. The actor was seen participating in the prayers alongside several members of the Khan family, while Iulia Vantur also joined the celebrations and offered prayers to Lord Ganesha.
The Khan family has continued its tradition of celebrating Ganesh Chaturthi together, and this year’s visarjan once again brought several family members under one roof. Salman was seen with his siblings and their families as preparations were made for the immersion. The ceremony took place within the premises of Sohail Khan’s building, where a large water tank had reportedly been arranged for the visarjan.
Salman appeared to be in a cheerful mood during the celebrations. Dressed in printed jeans and a matching jacket, along with a beanie, the actor was seen greeting people and interacting briefly with paparazzi before joining the family for the religious rituals. Videos from the occasion showed him participating in the aarti and later sharing the festive atmosphere with those around him.
One moment from the ceremony quickly caught attention online. While performing the aarti, Salman was seen moving the aarti plate in the wrong direction. His sister Arpita Khan noticed the mistake and immediately corrected him. Salman responded with a laugh and continued the ritual in the correct direction. Iulia Vantur was also seen participating in the aarti after Salman. Her presence at the Khan family’s Ganpati celebrations has attracted attention over the years, and pictures from the latest event again showed her taking part in the family festivities. The celebrations also included other members of the extended Khan family. Arpita Khan, Alvira Khan and other relatives were present, while Arhaan Khan, son of Arbaaz Khan, was seen helping with the Ganpati immersion. Actor Varun Sharma was also among the guests who offered prayers before the visarjan.
The actual immersion was carried out within the building premises rather than as a large public procession. The family gathered around the idol as the traditional farewell ceremony took place.
